Amorgos

Xerotigano (the local fried dough strips) is present at every happy moment of the Amorgians. At the beginning of September, visitors have the opportunity, through the special feast that takes place at the port of Aegiali, to watch the process of producing the traditional sweet and of course, taste it.

Local music instruments and dance groups from Amorgos and other islands participate in this unique event; this is always a big island party!
